Zenia Mihevc

My name is Zenia Mihevc, and I am the Founder and Clinical Director of The Embodiment Lab and A Little Zen, based in the Greater Toronto Area. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work, a Psychotherapist, Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT), Mindfulness Coach, Researcher and Storyteller.  I have focused  most of my adult life exploring and understanding the impact that stress and trauma has on our bodies and daily functioning.  With over 15 years of experience, I am trained in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as:   

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)  

  • Mindful Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MCBT)  

  • Narrative Therapy   

  • Nature Therapy   

  • Body-Oriented Trauma Therapy 

  • Somatic Experiencing 

  • Interpersonal and Existential Counselling

My passion is creating a safe space for my clients on their healing journey towards wellness. My expertise includes grief, trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, addictions, interpersonal relationships, acute and chronic health conditions, death and dying, life transitions and aging across the life course.  I provide support through Corporate and Organizational Mental Health workshops and trainings. My ultimate goal is to support people as they find their own zen and integrate it into their life. Our work together is about you engaging in your own life, notice what is painful and difficult and learn how to live richer more meaningful lives as you heal, root and grow.

Carolyn Ussher

My name is Carolyn Ussher, I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and I hold a Master of Social Work, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts with over 25 years of experience in the Social Work field.  I am trained in a variety of evidence based, therapeutic approaches such as:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness Based Practices

  • Body-Oriented Trauma Counselling

  • Trauma-Informed Counselling

I remain committed to supporting people as they work through the day-to-day stresses of life and relationships.  I believe that in creating a safe, non-judgmental space with clients, we can explore painful experiences and emotions so that we can move towards healing and living a values-based life.  My practice is trauma informed and is grounded in compassion, choice, and curiosity.   My hope is that through our work together, you will develop ways to reduce personal suffering while enhancing self compassion, healing, and wellness.

My name is Taylor Booth and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario. I have completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Certificate in Children’s Mental Health, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I utilize a combination of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

My name is Emily Cosgrove, and I am a trauma-informed Registered Psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience in the field. I have completed a Bachelors in Pre-Med and Psychology, a Post Graduate Certificate in Addictions Studies and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. In my work with clients, I integrate a variety of trauma informed evidence-based therapeutic approaches including:

My name is Michela Pirruccio, and I’m a registered Yoga teacher.  In my yoga practice, I prioritize an intuitive approach, meeting individuals exactly where they are. I offer unwavering support, empowering people to make choices that nurture both their physical and emotional well-being.

With a focus on embodiment, I emphasize the profound relationship between movement and breath, recognizing their pivotal role in sustaining life and vitality.

My practice is deeply rooted in trauma-informed principles. Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment is paramount. Guided by values of safety, trust, collaboration, choice, and cultural awareness, I strive to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and respected in their yoga journey.

My name is Steph Massey, and I am a certified Yoga Teacher, Mom, wife, and nature lover! I love finding ZEN through contemplative yoga and meditation practices, Nervous System Regulation, mindful awareness, and nature. As a life-long learner, I have additional training to support my yoga offerings, including ASIST, The Embodiment of ACT, Positive Neuroplasticity, Mindfulness, Mindset coaching, trauma-informed Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Yoga Nidra.  Through my education and formal training in contemplative practices and sacred plant medicines, along with my deeply personal experiences living and healing through a life-threatening disease, I am here to guide you into living your best and restful life.
