About Us
A Little Zen provides a peaceful and holistic approach to counselling and psychotherapy, to help achieve balance and wellness. Our goal at A Little Zen is to provide the tools to help you move out of suffering and into living with intention. You will learn practical skills to increase psychological flexibility and live a full, purposeful meaningful life while living alongside the physical and/or emotional trauma you are processing.
Changing emotional patterns is difficult. More often than not, it has little to do with motivation and it has everything to do with what kind of experiences we have and how they influence the wiring in our brain.
We are creatures of habit and our minds, bodies, and emotional systems are drawn to patterns. Even the ones that no longer support us.
Our Connection
Accessing nature, mindful movement, and intentional breath-work are known to increase our awareness of these patterns and experiences in our bodies and minds. There is a large body of research that supports the power of compassionate observation (noticing) so that we can better understand our patterns and learn how to reset our internal navigation.
We facilitate deep personal exploration with ease, allowing individuals to heal, root and grow their inner strength to move forward in life with purpose which may include experiential mindful movement, present moment awareness training, and breath-work
